Cover Shot: Eye Palettes

Out of all of these eyeshadow palettes, this one is my favorite. Well maybe they are all my favorites, but I really do love the colors in this palette. If you don't like warm eyeshadows I don't think this would be a good suit for you. I have blue eyes so I feel like the contrast between the orange warm tones and the blue is beautiful! I think however this palette can compliment any eye color! The reason I love this palette so much is the variety is perfect. One the layout is nice they have given you a great matte all over the lid shade to set eyeshadows, or to highlight the brow bone, they have given you beautiful transition shades with the 3 matte shades on the bottom, the matte red-toned burgundy shade, the warm orange toned shade, the beautiful, my personal favorite, brick red mixed with a splash of orange matte shade and then that deep brown shade which is perfect for blending into the outer V or even used as liner.

Not only are the matte shades beautiful but the shimmer/metallic shades are beautiful as well. Now, these shades don't have glitter in them, they have just a beautiful wash of shimmer, these formula's of metallics are really my favorite because they have little to no fallout and I don't have to worry about glitter getting anywhere.

If you like warm toned shadows, out of all of the cover shot eyeshadow palettes this would be my top recommendation for you! They layout is perfect, it is small, travel-friendly and the shades are just absolutely amazing. This is a big two thumbs up from me! I think this is most defiantly worth the $29.00 price tag!

This palette is beautiful! Something that I really love about it, is that it is a smoky palette but with some great pops of color. You can have a smoky palette with more than just grays, browns and blacks. That's why I think this particular smoky palette is so versatile. I also like how they set up the shades in here, you get a larger creamy white shade and a great transition shade! Both of those are vital in palettes to me; if these types of shades aren't in there, I feel like it is incomplete.

The black shade in this palette is a matte base with sparkles in it. At first, this drove me a little crazy, I usually don't like shades like this because I feel like there is a ton of glitter fall out. However, because of the matte base, the glitter stays there and it actually makes for a very beautiful pigmented liner on the eyes. The next shade is a slate gray matte shade, I feel like in this palette this is also an essential shade. You could do an all matte smoky look or just blend this into the crease and pop a color on the lid. The next shade is the metallic green! I was very impressed with the pigmentation on this little guy. I like how the base shade of this color is a deep green and it has a silver/gold shift to it. The shade next to the green is a beautiful light metallic gray! This is actually my favorite shade in this palette, I think it is a unique shade of gray that is brightening on the eyes. The next shade is just kind of your typical brown metallic with a tiny bit of shimmer, it is not a unique shade but I love that they put that shade in here because if you wanted a more "everyday" type of look you could easily accomplish that with this shade or even get the smoky look with combination of the slate or black on the outer V. Then the last shade is that beautiful purple! Purple is the hardest color to have good pigmentation in eyeshadows, however, this purple is so beautiful! I've worn this shade so many times, and I get compliments every time I wear it.

Overall, this palette is beautiful if you want that smoky, sultry look! I love that if you wanted to use this for an everyday makeup look, you totally could. This is an awesome value and size for the price of $29.00. This also gets two big thumbs up from me. I actually use this palette way more than I thought I would, and I think it's because of that modern twist on a smoky palette.

This is one of the best matte eyeshadow palettes that I have ever used! Each one of the shades is very pigmented, even the pale creamy shades. Usually, these shades never show up on my skin tone, as you can see from the swatches these are very pigmented! I also think that this is a palette that every single person could find use for.

I am most defiantly a shimmery eyeshadow lover! However, I have used this palette almost every single day since I got this palette. To start off that black shade that is in this palette is PIGMENTED. I love to use this as an eyeshadow liner. Then that purple shade is actually my favorite to blend into the crease for a beautiful simple eye look, you could also use this for an all over the lid eyeshadow. Then there is a perfect blending shade! This is so great to blend into the crease to help the other eyeshadows transition into one another. Then we have this beautiful warm toned brown shade, this is great for the outer v on the eye or an all over the lid eyeshadow, this is very versatile! Then we have a beautiful mid-toned neutral brown shade, this is perfect with warm shadows on the lid or cool shadows on the lid because of how neutral the shadow is. My personal favorite eyeshadow is actually that light brown transition shade on the end. I love that all over for a one shadow look or even in the crease.

Overall if you're thinking about getting one of the palettes from this palette, I would recommend this palette! It's a great stand alone or it is a perfect palette to use with all of your single eyeshadows, it's a great partner palette.

My overall thoughts:

My honest overall thoughts on these are that I love each one of the palettes. I think that the ones I decided to buy are unique enough for me to justify having all three. However, if you're only going to get one, I say that the Matte palette can be used for everything! I love how unique the Smoky palette is and I am obsessed with warm toned eyeshadows, so I also really love my Ablaze palette.

The size is also a huge selling point for me. They easily fit in my hand, they aren't bulky, and they utilize the entire inside of palette. There is also a great sized mirror. Something that I think is very awesome is how small these are, so you can throw it in your purse to get ready on the way or for touch ups, plus traveling. I will most definitely use these for traveling. I think for the quality of the eyeshadows, the pan sizes, and the size of the mirror/palette, the price of $29.00 is very reasonable. If I were to rate these on a 1-10 (10 being the best palette I have ever used in my life, and 1 being a piece of poo, and pass) I would rate this at an 8 out of 10!

All of these palettes are two big thumbs up from Whitty Beauty! Please feel free to comment below your thoughts on these palettes, will you be picking them up? Should I try any of the others?
