new makeup 2017

I love Maybelline concealers so I have some high expectations for this baby. The only problem is that I got the shade fair, this is way too dark for me. It's more of a yellow toned concealer and I like either a neutral one or a pink toned one. I'm going to try to make this work because upon swatching I love how creamy this is! Usually, stick concealers are too dry but this one seems promising. I just wish there was a lighter one!! This is the shade Fair. At Ulta this was $7.99.

I got the shade 705, Crème Brulee a couple weeks ago and I love it! I've used it almost every day as a base. I got; 745 Cherry Blossom, 720 Chocolate, 735 Pistachio, 715 Espresso. I love these colors and I can't wait to see how well each of these colors work out. I'll post an update on the blog in two weeks on these. I also like that there is a little brush in the cap! That is so smart and innovative.

I am so impressed with these nail polishes! I got a new mint color a couple weeks ago and I was so impressed with the formula I wanted to try a couple other colors. They had a BOGO sale at Ulta so I thought this was a good opportunity to get a couple more so I picked up Blackjack and Wild Card. I just painted my nails with Blackjack and it went on even in two coats and dried quickly for me!

I have high hopes for this foundation. The applicator reminds me a lot of the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation applicator which I actually really liked the applicator on that one. However, after swatching this foundation it is like four shades too dark for my skin so I will have to use a foundation lighter for this one when I try it out. On my hand, it felt so hydrating. I usually have oily skin but this foundation seems so hydrating I'm sure the dry spots on my skin will like this. I just wish there were lighter shades... This is the lightest shade in Classis Ivory.

NYX, Away WE Glow Liquid Highlighter

I got this in the shade, Moon Glow. It is mostly white based, which I really like white based highlighters, it also has some very faint pink and purple iridescence to it as well. Something I really like about this line is how many shades there are. There are 9 shades in total so there is something that will work for every skin tone. I got the lightest one but after swatching this one I want to try the other shades.

This is not new but it is new to me so I thought I would include this on this page. I have heard so many good things about this concealer so I had to try it myself. I got the shade Fair Neutral there is actually one shade lighter but this shade was described as a concealer with neutral undertones so I thought this one would match me a bit better. I might exchange it for lighter one but this does seem to be a pretty good match so far. I can't wait to try it and see how it works out. The applicator is huge and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Swatch Party

I would just like to add after swatching these shadows that Pistachio and Cherry Blossom took some building up to get to the pigmentation. So if you're going to use these on the eyes I would add a layer let it dry and then add another. I'll have to keep playing with them. The other two shades, Chocolate and Espresso were that pigmented upon one swatch so I think these ones will be easier to use.
